A big Thx ! I've been scrubing & scrubbing this wonderfully shaped jar that had glue that would not come off. baking soda and olive oil very quickly did the trick. I don't know why, but I'm in love that jar and now I use it.

This worked really well. Had to peel off the labels, leaving that sticky residue. I tried just oil or oil with baking soda, And oil by itself, dissolved the glue off bottles, which then stuck my hands and I could wash off with dish soap. The baking soda made the glue stick strongly to my hands so I stopped using it.

The tall soy sauce bottle (you know the brand, it's the most popular one) I repurpose for pouring vinegar, had a wide stripe of nasty hard glue under the label. The label came off easily after 10 minute hot water soak with dish soap inside a tall container. Baking soda and oil paste did not work for removing the glue. What worked was brushing about a teaspoon of cheap olive oil on top of the glue, waiting about 5 to 10 minutes, then using a paper towel and butter knife to rub off any glue that would come off. Then I had to repeat that process three times (!) until all the glue came off. Finally! Worth the hassle.

My beechnut jars' glue did not respond to the vinegar+dishsoap soak, BUT once I removed the labels THE PASTE worked like a charm

What if you cannot get Avicado Oil, which is really expensive.
What alternative to Avocado Oil?

Actually the main jar and bottle glue all you need is to soak them in just water for 10 to 20 minutes no need to boil or add vinegar...the nasty trick thou I appreciate thnk u am going to try it right now😉
