WHO I AM:
HI, my name is Rachael Patterson, I'm an instructor of Middle Eastern Studies at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, holds a master’s degree from Dartmouth College and a BA from BYU in Middle Eastern Studies & Arabic. I'm a mother of 3 children, happily in love with her Green Beret husband and resides in North Carolina and Currently serving as the Young Women's President in my ward. Because I grew up in Sharon, Vermont (in the same community where Joseph Smith was born), I have a special passion for the restoration of the gospel, priesthood power and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Thank you for sharing as we are trying to release misconceptions and embrace truth. I like how Barbara Morgan Gardner refers to the "familial priesthood." In my mind it is more inclusive of men and women in our homes.

Power because Jesus is right there, the atonement is Jesus. He has many names. He is the sealing between Man and Woman. 3 in the marriage connected. Jesus gives the power to the Man and the Woman because they are 3. Neither is the Man without the woman, or the woman without the Man in the Lord.
