Why do plastic blades need soaked in water for 12 to 24 hrs before use?

I got my FSA-200R and the 28-2 poly cut. Just wondering if I should get the added skirt too

Even retreading this head is almost impossible

That was very helpful, because the instructions are not very clear on opening the head up. So how long do the blades need to soak? Can you just store them in water or too much soaking a bad thing?
* it's great that the yard-pro hollywood central casting-looking demonstrator is all kitted up with the latest safety garb, but come on. It's either below zero with green grass & and sunshine, or he's trimming a path towards a massive forest fire he's about to step into. Or a sharknado.😂 Good thing the vid is under 3min before he succumbs to heat stroke.

The last "poly cut" style flail had the torx screws without pulling off the head. Stop changing what works!

Impossible to pull apart to replace blades. Need to do a video on that. Or hire better engineers maybe? UPDATE: you have to take the whole head off.. so whip out your Allen wrench or tool that you use to take off the head, unscrew the head, then you can pull the polycut apart and then stick in your new blades.

Would prefer easier access to replacing blades than this method.

The problem with this video that's not how a professional lawn mower cuts grass with a whipper.
He doesn't hover the whipper in one spot for 5 seconds then takes 5 seconds to move 2 cm's to the left

Please recycle the plastic blades. Do not out them in the trash as video suggests

This head is a rip off. Not a good replacement for the one beforehand. It had three blades and you didnt have to take the head off to replace blades. Worst 20 dollars ive ever spent.

I'm a retired US Marine, and Im about to cry because I can't figure out how to replace the old blades. I can't find a video and your instruction manuel sucks. I liked it the first time I used it, but now I wish I never bought it. It's now just a piece of shit taking up space in my shead.
