Considering the A220 (pre-Airbus) was looking at failure, this is fantastic news. Everyone knew the CS100/300 was a fantastic plane. Airbus made a killing and it’s great the talent at Bombardier has been persevered. They’re in good hands with Airbus.

Airbus: "Thank you Boeing for handing us the A-220".

I've been a solid Boeing Fan since the 727 but they lost me when I think they willingly risked their reputation with the Max debacle. For the most part I think Airlines that order the A220 are more known for pleasing their customers by offering the best aircraft. The Max is probably safe now, but it's an ordinary old design with teeny tiny lavs. The message I get from Max Operators is that they are more interested in settling for a quick profit rather than Customer Comfort.

Airbus kingdom would still be on the top for many years I see.

Airbus makes great products (commercial segment I mean). Every single model is iconic. Those that sold less are no less iconic (A340, A380, A318...)

Jetblue just ordered 30 more A220 their order up to 100. The last e190 will leave the fleet in 2026.

And Qatar Airways thought Airbus would grovel to them, they will soon realise what good products they are losing out on 😄😄

Thanks DJ for the great content and for your contributions to the aviation community. Some readers here are generally angry and often dislike your content, if it does not contain exactly what they want or wish to hear. Please ignore them and continue your work. There are quite a lot of us that are happy with your effort. The few that are unhappy should just find another channel that delivers content tailored to their taste.

Any Airbus orders outside the aviation industry?

Good to see the MoU's being firmed. In other news, Korean Air is starting MAX flights in March of this year, and took a delivery flight last week, a MAX completion facility over in China has been prepped for delivery commencement soon, Emirates canceled 5 A380 routes, Boeing's seeking ICAO exemption for the 767F, Bonza has announced their route network, and 777X testers spoke positively about the aircrafts performances recently.

Despite the pandemic, Airbus is making money again. Tomorrow (the17th) we will see all the financial results for 2021. Soon too with the A220 model. They are busy to deliver all their orders as soon as possible. What about Boeing????

It’s orders for sure but no where near as big as the title implies which would cause real excitement

Give you a suggestion: there is no reason for you to say European/American/Brazilian Plane Manufacturer. Its long and unnecessary. Just say Airbus, Boeing, Embraer.
