Fluid Mechanics Lesson Series - Lesson 13D: Turbulent Flat Pate Boundary Layer.

In this 12-minute video, Professor Cimbala describes transition from a laminar to a turbulent boundary layer on a flat plate, he discusses differences between laminar and turbulent boundary layer profiles, and he compares equations for the flat plate turbulent boundary layer (BL thickness, displacement thickness, skin friction coefficient, etc.) to those of laminar flow. Finally, he discusses the effect of surface roughness on a turbulent boundary layer and does some example problems.

This video incorporates material from Section 10-6 of the Fluid Mechanics textbook by Cengel and Cimbala, Edition 4.
