Fluid Mechanics Lesson Series - Lesson 13E: Boundary Layers with Pressure Gradients.

In this 14-minute video, Professor Cimbala discusses boundary layers with pressure gradients, explains the differences between favorable and adverse pressure gradients, and describes the process of flow separation. He also discusses how and why turbulent boundary layers are more resilient to flow separation profiles and shows scenarios where laminar boundary layer are "better" and other scenarios where turbulent boundary layers are "better." Finally, he works through an example problem where the separation point is determined.

This video incorporates material from Section 10-6 of the Fluid Mechanics textbook by Cengel and Cimbala, Edition 4.
