As a muslim myself I can assure you. You can eat Infront of us while we fasting. It's fine because we got used to it. And to be honest it won't affect me that much. Infact! It can help me to figure out what will I have for iftar 🤣

Edit : idk why this comment has so many comments. Anyway, really we don't mind. Because restraining our desire is the point of fasting. Fasting in islam is not just you don't eat or drink from dawn till dusk but it's for you to train your will and be thankful of everything you've got. You will learn how to hold your anger and your worldly desire. And everytime iftar came you will feel more grateful for the foods you eat, the times you spend with family or friends that day, and you will feel proud of yourself too for doing a good job at holding your desire.

In college my best friend was Muslim, and I always fasted with her. We would video call before sunrise to share a cup of tea and some breakfast. Then, we would support each other through college and after sunset we would share a meal together. She said it really helped and reminded her of home 🥰
