I really... really... REALLY want Battlemage to do well so that Intel doesn't kill the GPU line-up. We need the competition even if it only targets the Midrange / High settings market... We all don't have thousands to spend on a new GPU.

Honestly this seems like Intel learned from the Arc launch. Not having a 3 month press tour with inflated expectations would have made ARC launch a lot smoother

The GPU shortage isn't to raise prices, it's to ensure that Nvidia sells all of their 40 series cards and they don't have to sell them at a discounted price. It'll also create increased demand for the 50 series. But for whatever reason, all these people skip right over the better value AMD GPUs with more VRAM. Just blows my mind.

You can turn that OLED tv into an ultrawide, works so well for games, and then switch back to full screen for other tasks

Nvidia cutting off high tier 40 series is 100% to create demand for the 50 series. Perhaps it is in anticipation of tariffs but either way it is to generate demand for their new products and as we know as demand increases so does price.

Intel Arc B380 - 8GB - RX-6600XT/RTX-3060 performance = $169.99
Intel Arc B580 - 12GB - RX-6700XT/RTX-4060-Ti performance = $279.99
Intel Arc B750 - 16GB - RX-7800XT/RTX-4070 performance = $429.99

MAYBE a special limited edition Intel Arc B770 with 24/32GB of VRAM and RX-7900GRE/4070-Super performance, for $500-ish.

A portable playstation doesn't have to match the PS5 performance, with a smaller screen you don't have to go so hard on resolution so they could get away with a weaker GPU
