Intel Arc B580 'Battlemage' GPU Review & Benchmarks vs. NVIDIA RTX 4060, AMD RX 7600, & More

Показать описание
The Intel Arc B580 GPU is now shipping, debuting Intel's Battlemage GPU architecture in the first graphics cards of its new generation. This follows Intel's prior Alchemist Arc GPUs, including the A750, A770, A580, and A380, which had periods of hardship early on with driver issues. The B580 is a complete rework of Intel Arc. Its MSRP is $250 and the new video card is targeting the NVIDIA RTX 4060 and AMD RX 7600 in price comparison. Our benchmarks and review of the B580 card test it for 4K, 1440p, and 1080p rasterization performance, ray tracing benchmarks, efficiency, and idle power consumption.

Imagine telling your 2004, 2010, or 2015 selves that your build is rocking an AMD CPU and an Intel GPU.

Also, I am sitting next to Der8auer right now -- video soon!

I absolutely love the fact you include the GTX 1000 series in these new benchmarks, I am one of the people thinking about upgrading from a 1070 and given its age a lot of reviewers aren't showing it anymore. Thank you so much!

Actually better than I expected. I hope Intel continues to invest in their GPU division.

As someone who's been running a GTX 1070 for the past, like, seven years now? Thank you _so much_ for including these older cards in your benchmark. It really gives some context as to a) what users of older hardware can expect for the scenarios they're thinking "This hardware's showing its age, time for an upgrade", and b) just how far, nonsense pricing and low generational uplift aside, we've come in the past half decade or so.

You've often spoken (quite rightly) of the importance of reducing e-waste, and it's things like this that prove you absolutely practice what you preach. Thanks!

I truly hope any rumors Intel is going to kill their GPU division are false. They have made such huge strides and are on the right path. They are making a product the community wants and people will root for. If they can keep prices low and improve performance for another generation or two, they'll be up there as an easy choice for any gamer.

Steve is smiling in the thumbnail. This should be good.

Wild that $250 is what counts as a budget GPU these days, but glad there's good competition and performance (and healthy amounts of VRAM!) here again.

12 GB VRAM is crazy for a $250 GPU. This is huge for memory-intensive tasks that do not depend as much on processing.

Cannot wait to rent one from NZXT for $99 a month, for the rest of my life!

that fact they fix 38 / 40 bugs, that amazing, they took people productive criticism well. looking forward to seeing them progress further, especially seeing if they'll go low profile for the workplace area

"Starfield not working on ARC was Intel doing you a favor" lol

The fact that that Intel is using the Open Source Mesa driver for their cards is a huge win!

what a refreshing change a GPU review that was mainly positive and a card that actually offers some value for budget gamers

Hey Steve, I recently posted your revamped website in a discussion group that had mentioned the lack of good written articles, and your team's effort for written content got nothing but absolute praise. Very clean layout, incredibly quick loading times and well formatted articles. The progress bar at the top is a cool touch.

I typically prefer video content, but your written content definitely has some fans too!

I like that they keep the design so low-key. It looks a lot classier than all the SUPER GAMERY designs.

While Intel's CPU division are getting cooked in a fire, Intel's GPU division are cooking up something fire!

I have A770 since release and I have never seen a GPU company that updates the drivers so fast.

Really flabbergasted that I'm even considering buying an Intel "Our CPUs will make GPUs obsolete" GPU
