Fitman presents: Ulnar Nerve Transposition Recovery (almost 5 years post surgery)

The full process from my ulnar nerve transposition surgery (October 2015) to a maximum recovery took less than a year.

My results are not typical, but I also do not approach things in a typical fashion. I made it my number 1 goal to come back better than ever.

Along the way I had ups and downs but I never lost my drive to overcome this setback and jump over this hurdle.

Hey, FP. I may have missed it in an older video, but when you went in for your surgical consultation to get this done, did your doctor tell you why he felt you'd be better off having the submuscular version of this surgery over subcutaneous?

Was it because he felt it would be more protected under the muscle, or was it because he felt you were too thin for subcutaneous? All the best.

Hey man

I am trying to figure out if this is what I have... Did you have a click everytime you would bend your elbow? (as if doing a bicep curl)

Was your ulnar nerve transposition subcutaneous or submuscular? The surgeon I consulted with said he would have to do submuscular for me since I don't have enough fat there (good problems lol).

How long did you wait before getting the surgery - from time of initial symptoms to date of surgery?

Have you had any ulnar nerve issues with your other arm? I got an EMG confirming cubital tunnel syndrome in one arm but have since developed the same type of pain in the other arm. So I'm now considering getting the submuscular transposition in both arms, one at a time.

And thanks so much for posting these videos. Going through this is scary and it means the world to hear you overcame this condition.

Prior to the surgery, were you hearing a popping sound from your left elbow while doing exercises like the bench press/overhead press?
