It’s finally here: our very first vlog style video!
No more camera shy :D
This started out as a joke, but we decided to upload it on YouTube anyways.
Next time we will try to speak more English.

Today we run our brand new Edge 540, by Flitetest!
I would like to mention that this was my very first flight ever.
Though it was probably a bit too windy, or at least for a first flight.

I programmed two different flight modes on my Taranis radio for aerobatics and sports.
During the first attempt, we missed some rudder throw.
As it was my first flight, I think I was being too slow and too careful, what made it crash into the asphalt. So what did we learn today? More throttle = more fun.
And to start in the greens, instead of such a hard surface.

Despite we found out about a damaged lipo battery afterwards, we were able to fully rebuild the plane. But first, we have to buy some new batteries. Next time we will pick a different location, to ensure ourselves more flight time. To be continued!

Thanks for watching! Feel free to leave a comment or a like, and subscribe to our YouTube channel!

Really? In a crowded parking lot with people walking around?? WTF are you thinking? Find a club and join so they can teach you how to fly! As for the guy saying they are a bad design, he's got his head up you know where. They fly great. Seriously join a club and fly safely.

The Netherlands has so much open space to fly, especially when i haven't got the hang of the plane

that looks well built. cool video btw. My only tip is ... if you still learning, maybe try the simple cub, but upscale it to 125% and cover the bottom tip of the wings, that will make it stable and easy to fly. the ft540 is more like an advanced pilot plane. keep going buddy, don't give up

PLEASE - one question - does the landing gear work ground looping....
good straight take offs and landings ???

I bought the Scout Kit - landing gear so bad I took it off and do belly landkings
I bought Mig 3 - langing gear so bad I took it off and decided to sell the plane, I don't want any more belly landers...

I'll buy the 540 if someone assures me it will not ground loop but will take off and land well and the landing gear will not fold up like on the MIg.

Great looking build, absolutely the wrong plane to learn on.

I must say, prob not the best plane to learn on, especially if it doesnt have some sort of 6 axis stabilization on it, ive been flying for almost 3 years now and i learned on a sport cub s by hobbyzone, and went from that to a carbon cub s+ and then to all the edf jets and stuff, so yeah, good job, you are doing better than me for a first flight.

Don’t fly in a small parking lot go to your nearest ama flying field or rc field.

thanks for posting. here are some things to consider. this is another lame-ass ft design. as a result of NO (aft) mass-reduction steps being taken, the model Has a tail-heavy dom. at 2:25, it appears that the main wing has a slightly cambered profile. if so, the wing halves have been mounted, UPSIDE-DOWN. wingtips Should be Enclosed. cheers googletranslate
