RC Alert presents to you: the building process of the FliteTest Edge 540! It was a real blast to spend my day(s) building this amazing plane. The materials that Flitetest deliver to their costumers, have a very high quality! Even their service is really good, since they sent me a whole second Edge 540 build kit when there was a piece missing in the kit. This is my first ever foamboard build and took me around 8 hours in total. Keep in mind, FliteTest recommends this plane as an advanced built. Not recommended as a first project.

Long story short: although it's pretty hard to built this as your first plane, you should definitely try it out some time. Worth it!

Yeah, Its an adult puzzle and I enjoyed the process. Nice paint job

Does the kit include the servo control horns, firewall, elevator stabilizer plywood, tail wheel plywood and battery straps?

Does the landing gear wire come already bent for you or do you have to bend it ?


PLEASE - one question - does the landing gear work ground looping....
good straight take offs and landings ???


I bought the Scout Kit - landing gear so bad I took it off and do belly landkings
I bought Mig 3 - langing gear so bad I took it off and decided to sell the plane, I don't want any more belly landers...


I'll buy the 540 if someone assures me it will not ground loop but will take off and land well and the landing gear will not fold up like on the MIg.
