he is no longer alive, he died in 2017 at the age of 33.
he killed a trainer named keltie at sea land (where he was before being transported to sea world to live the rest of his life) when she accidentally slipped into the water where tilikum and another orca were, they had never been in a tank with a human before and got excited to “play” with her. they used her as a toy bouncing from whale to whale, it was not to be brutal or malicious, they just didn’t understand that humans cannot stay underwater like they can and she ended up drowning from them holding her under too long.
he was then sent to sea world (and sea world did not tell the trainers now working with him that he had killed someone before and shown signs of aggression) where he killed a man daniel who snuck into sea world after hours and seems to have fallen into tilikums tank and was found killed brutally the next day.
tilikum was worth a lot to sea world as a breeder for them.
31 out of his 33 years were in captivity after being captured at 2 years old.
in 2010 during a show at sea world with his long time trainer dawn, he could be seen getting frustrated. he performed a trick and while doing that missed a cue from dawn, which led to him not getting his treat/reward and he did not like that because to him, he performed the trick and should have been rewarded. near the end of the show they have a part where they lay with the orcas and show them off, while doing this tilikum grabbed dawn by her pony tail (it is stated that trainers should not wear pony tails because it can be dangerous, but totally not her fault) and yanked her down into the tank with him. for over 40 minutes he continued to drab her down into the water and bring her up quickly and forcefully, and just tossing her around really. after the 40+ minutes he let her go, but she has already passed due to drowning and blunt force trauma.
after that incident (all in front of the crowd) tilikum was then put into an even smaller tank (he was 16 feet long) and wasn’t allowed to perform any shows or have human interactions like before again, he was officially ruled as too dangerous and aggressive to allow people around him like that. he spent the rest of his life in that small tank swimming around over and over again, alone until he died due to a lung condition, which could have been caused due to the stress on him and his system from being trapped like that for so long. not to mention that before sea world he was constantly abused and injured by the other whales in captivity with him. he and any other creature never should have been kept in a small enclosure when they are meant to have the whole sea (or land).
it’s so sad. he didn’t deserve to live like that, and no one would have died if he wasn’t kept like that. i recommended watching the documentary Blackfish to hear more and see how bad these places are.

Let them go! It’s barbaric keeping them in tiny pools for human entertainment.

People need to realize orcas aren’t horses

So I have had so many videos abt this literally out of no where on my recommended and I don’t actually know how to feel about it…
So all of the deaths are tragic and insanely unfortunate but those attacks were mainly because of frustration and anger. Like imagine being contained in basically a bathtub for your size for your life when u r supposed to be travelling the worlds oceans… and im not saying it’s the trainers faults because it’s not really. It can be sometimes but it’s mainly the actual company. I don’t exactly know the real name for them but it’s usually the people who run the company. So I honestly don’t blame them for acting out ngl

Also I have been in a situation where I was on a yacht with my family for a new day sail like we always do but them we saw 2 orcas swimming towards us. I usually get told that they just eat people and aren’t nice animals so I was practically 💩💩 myself 😂😂😂
But they were just swimming along side us at a similar speed. And then swam away. So idk if that’s because they were checking whether we were worth the effort of eating or not OR if they were just doing their own thing

To be fair it was not Tilikums fault because he went through a lot being taken away as a young orca to be abused by 2 female orcas just to be moved to Seaworld where the same thing happened It is cruel that they capture animals just to make them perform as entertainment when they are living and breathing just as us

I'm going to talk about the orcas in some other shorts of yours i saw: This is abuse. The lopsided fin is a clear indicator of bad health and why you can't see that in the wild. Their teeth and skin are in terrible condition due to banging themselves and chewing in their prisons in frustration. Why do you think an orca attacked? Because it was so mentally frustrated it just snapped. If you were stuck in a bathtub for 20 years, wouldn't you go a little crazy? This chemical(chlorine)-filled pool is 2000x smaller than the distance an orca swims in a day, and let's not even talk about the isolation they face from their own kind. They need to communicate with other orcas and play with them, not humans. Their children are ripped away from them as well, way too early. Blackfish stated that scientists even discovered an emotional part of their brain even humans don't have, further illustrating that they do feel emotion on an entirely different level than humans.

If you look at the fin on the top the torso thing this, and that is not natural it means that the fin has been bent to fit into a small area like where they are kept such a bad place for the animals because the cages they kept are so small that they have to literally bend parts of their body, their fins to fit in to the cage

I just went to sea world yesterday I want to work with the killer whales. Most of them are born there and they don’t know any different to the ocean. Tillkum was mistreated and held in captivity for mostly his whole life! Think about it!
(Please no hate)
