Thanks so much for sharing. I recently broke my ankle and I too wish I would have trusted my intuition and I truly feel like God wants me to be still as well to reflect and this was my confirmation. Thank you for walking in your purpose Queen💛

Your journey feels like mine 🥺
A week before my 29th birthday I fractured my ankle ! I’ve also realized everything happens for a reason, I’m in the middle of moving as well. Same with spending more time with my mom. Definitely a humbling experience. I’m so sad because I want a fast recovery but I know I need to be very patient! Thanks for making me feel a bit better about this journey. Definitely been thinking of my future a lot as well!

You are amazing! I’m on week 6 of trimalleolar fracture recovery….same thing—ORIF surgery with plate and screws. Man can it get depressing… I love how you turned it into an opportunity for huge growth. It definitely put things into perspective for me too. I think this is going to be my motivation to really lean into the physical therapy and get in shape for real (something I have told myself to do for years). I hope you are thriving!!

Spiral fracture of my fibula in 2 spots & also broke my ankle over the summer walking in Gettysburg pa . ( August ) .. had surgery & still 10/31 .. still recovering .. ortho took me off boot & now I’m an ankle splint for another 10 wks !!! All I can say was a very very painful experience from beginning till now .. lots of PT .. learning to walk again .. not only pain but screwed w/ my psyche!! PTSD on another level .. again my experiences .. so sending healing prayers to all 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️🙃☺️

Broke my ankle Dec 13th, almost one month post surgery and starting to feel better both physically and mentally. This is by far the most painful experience. Thank you for sharing your experience it gives me hope.

Your story is so inspiring! I broke my ankle also and currently in rehab process. Like you said it gives you a lot of time to put things into perspective for sure! I broke my ankle at work climbing down off my 18-wheeler, missed the last step and BAM!!! My whole life changed… for sure. But during this time I spent alot of time with TMH and my wife and also time to game plan future endeavors! Like you said, he sat us down for a reason… it’s all about perspective. Peace and blessings queen

You are wise beyond your years from that experience. I've recently broken my ankle and am in the midst of that journey. I am older than you but what has led up to it is similar. In the past 1-2 years I was going through life almost blindly; unhappy with my job (yet succeeding at it) and putting things off to the next day as much as I possibly could. I knew in my heart of hearts I needed to make drastic changes and was very close to doing just that when this happened. Oh, and my birthday is approx 1.5 weeks after the fracture date.

I'm already feeling more connected to everything around me, more aware, and more loving & caring. it's early in my journey and I don't have the hindsight you do yet those feelings are there. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for sharing your story. ❤️

It looks like you've gained full recovery of the ankle, is that right?

The hardest thing I’ve experienced 😢 I really understand you, the pain and process so painful but only god knows why it happened! God bless hope your recovery is well now !❤

Thanks for sharing! Fellow cancer here (July 21) and can totally relate to so much of what you are saying. I broke my ankle 1.5 months ago and I’m in the cast stage. It really does force you to sit with your thoughts and reassess some things … but like you I believe it’s for the better ❤

I triple broke my left ankle on vacation in Indonesia 12500 km from home September 23. Got surgery there, they put 14 screws into my leg. Pain medication was perfect, doctors gave me Fentanyl and Ketamine. 6 days after surgery i took a 22 hour flight back to Europe. Bali people are so nice, i received so much help from complete strangers. The receptionist lady from my hotel took me from hospital back to hotel and on the last day she drove me with her car to the airport. I am still in contact to her. I will return to Bali September 24 to say thank you.😊

I just recently broke my ankle and will be going in for this follow-up appointment in three more days. I hope I get news saying I can start PT. I wanna walk again so badly. Our ex-rays look a lot alike.
