I had an almost similar dislocation back in 2010 and I couldn't walk properly for about 3-4 days and by the time it was back in place, the relief is amazing.

Dislocated mine Oct 2. thank God I didn’t need surgery. Dr popped it back in place

Edit: I can exercise fully but excuse exercises that require rrange of motion involving my ankle is limited/hard to do

As of 10/9/23 I start training/driving trucks with Swift mentor

Had this break. Had surgery. Broke all three bones in my foot and tibia along with this. When I took off my shoe and my foot did this, my foot felt like a bag of cement hanging there with excruciating pain. Been 6 months, had surgery and hospital stay. 6 months and still healing. Complete non weight bearing right foot for 6 weeks, cast, stitches, PT, boot, walker, scooter, wraps, ankle brace, ice, pain. Getting better and scared won’t ever be able to wear some heels again lol but doc said this is a long haul healing injury. Never had a broken bone previously. Slipped and fell on ice. 😂
I protect it like it is gold and worry what could happen if I ever hurt it again in the future.

A classmate of mine dislocated his ankle, but the other way (outwards) during our basketball lesson (it was in a 90 degree angle), they had to cut his shoe to put it back in place, luckily no fractures, but he still had to have a surgery to reattach his ligaments, was rather traumatising seeing it happen live.

If the dislocated joint was quickly fixed/manipulated to its rightfull position, the pain would be switched off! Like magic!
Waiting too long would would lead to odemia/ swelling.
With the right care, the severed blood vessels would be replaced with new ones.
Bandages too tight could creat circulatory problems, leading to blackening and blueing!
Perhaps thrrombofob gel applied (in stock) could provide some safety!

When I was a paramedic had a patient that jumped off a loading dock, looked similar to what is shown but was open showing bone. The most memorable thing I remember is that it was covered in ants. Was an interesting call 🚑💨

As a firefighter I was taught to remove constricting clothing/shoes if there is a break. This is due to possible swelling and difficulties of getting the items of later.
