If you are a student and you only tell your parents "I got 100% today!" while you didn't tell them all those other times when you had a lower score, there's a sense of guilt in hearing their compliments

This reminds me of constantly being told you’re special and super smart in elementary school and then when it doesn’t come easily anymore so you either work way too hard or give up.

Thank you finally, I swear people are always like “if you study and put your mind to it, you’ll get an A+!” I put my blood, sweat, and tears to these goddamn tests and homework but it’s never enough, I always end up in like a 85% and some ppl would say that’s a good grade but if you studied your ass off and did everything u could you would expect a 100%. I swear all my anxiety and stress comes from school I usually have mental break days at least 2 times a week I try my best to be strong and keep pushing through but sometimes it’s just too much especially when your father has high expectations from you and does NOT take anything below a 90% 💔

This hits so hard. Especially if you studied WEEKS for it and got a low mark, when the other people who don’t pay attention in class or study at all got so much higher. It’s so frustrating.

It hurts because once you make those grades everyone expects you to keep them even if it’s the most difficult thing for you whilst you could be (maybe just me) going through mental problems etc.

I hate it, I feel like this sometimes too. Whenever I do good on a test or quiz I still feel like I didn’t do good enough or that I could’ve done better even though I got all the questions right😔😞

Most of the time i think it is because people don't appreciate enough when we get good marks or even full marks but start criticising you the moment you get low marks.😢
That's why even after getting full marks ppl feel " What's the point in getting good marks? They will forget it after somedays"

I don't feel happy when I get good grades but I feel devastated when I dont
