food may be more expensive in Denmark, when you eat out.. however that's also why we don't need to tip our waiters, because they get payed well

It's nice to see foreign people appreciate the things that I truly take for granted

You should try "Flæskestegssandwich", which is slices of pork roast on a burgerbun with mayo, red cabbage and slices of pickled cucumber. So good.

Just saying... Get danish rye bread, liver paté and bacon. Heat the paté and fry the bacon. Put it all together.
Result? Heaven-on-a-slice-of-bread.

Denmark is near the border where I reside in Hamburg and so is Netherlands.I have been several times to Denmark.I also like Long Island, Queens, Maine and Bronx in N.Y.. Which has history of various cuisines and so does Puerto Rico.I have also have had different types of foods in India. TONDER AND RIBE in Denmark are my favorite destinations.Copenhagen is hectic and Commercialized.

You cannot visit Denmark without trying our "Stegt flæsk med persillesovs" (Fried pork with parsley sauce). That is, in my opinion, THE best Danish food you can get. Period. :-)

In Copenhagen, there is a place called Hansens Familiehave (Hansen Family Garden) located at Pile Allé. They serve traditional Danish food (smørrebrød, pork dishes, fish/herring etc). Go there. You won't regret it.

Went to Demark to try the new nordic cuisine. Outstanding! Also enjoyed other Danish food as well. Wonderful country. The Danes are not stand offish at all. Had some nice conversations and they were very helpful.😮

One thing I learned to appreciate once, was smoked salmon and horseradish salad. It goes splendedly together. Another thing, is our "Frikadeller" -no n's in the word (I have English friends so I know it's tempting) to me, the frikadelle, goes perfectly well, to our REmoulade (matching a tatar sauce, according to the dictionary)

Danish people are the nicest, super friendly with tourists. My day and a half in Copenhagen was fantastic. Such a beautiful city, beautiful lively markets, you can just lose yourself in the market and visit the city at the same time. Traditionnal and modern mix very well, great city.

This comment is not about the video above but it is a small confession from a devoted fan of your channel. Many times when I talk with some people about travel destinations around the world, I tell them many things about countries that many of them think I've visited them a lot of times. The funny thing is that a lot of the information is taken from your videos. Thank you a lot Mark for the free travels you offer us. Greetings from Greece and I expect you and your family in our country again!

Also, there is a cake that Danes make and eat for weddings, birthdays and special occasions (mainly for weddings). Its called a Kransekake! It's translated into "circle cake" its almond based and is layered like an American wedding cake but is much thinner and wider. It consists of 12 layers. For those Americans who would like to try Scandinavian food (mainly Danish), there are a few Nordic restaurants in New York, NY. One is called "Akavit", which is in Times Square by Rockefeller Center They make they're own Akavit and they flavor them too! Very tasty! Another one is called "Copenhagen". I haven't been to there yet, but I plan to go!
