Tapping them can and Will Dislodge the membrane from the inside of the egg. If you do that with a fresh egg BEFORE hard boiling it will make it peel much more easily. Ya can see it on u tube look it up.

How the hell would it be losing weight?? Even if a developing chic is eating up the rest of the insides it's not like there is anywhere for anything to escape the egg so whatever is in there from the get is still in Would love an explanation on this or let me know if I misunderstood the whole " one is losing weight more rapidly than the other one" line
