Did you know Emu's typically lay one egg every three days, usually at sunset. The male decides where he wants them laid & will tell the female, he won't sit on them until they have enough, sometimes this can be as many as a dozen. The first few tend not to be fertile but those that are can stay fertile for about 5 weeks before they start to lose fertility.
How exciting to hear those words at White House On The Hill Farm- the emus have laid eggs! 🎉

I remember Bamboo running around the house in a little sock outfit so he doesn't poo everywhere. So stinking cute! So so happy & excited to see emu eggs & that Bamboo could be a Dad soon (hopefully 🤞) ❤️❤️❤️
