In The Godfather the Don of the Corleone family often says that he’s gonna make them an offer that they can’t refuse to get ahead in their business. And they can’t refuse not because the offer is so great but because if they do they’re gonna get seriously hurt or even dead. The Chinese Godfather just makes an offer and since he’s Chinese they can’t understand him.
