I remember when me and my friend started the game lol. We came together and I just bought a pack of cheap chaos cultists… for us to practise painting he bought some brushes. I bought some random paint collection. We had a great time with my hobby snips and his hobby knife. As we painted up our first few terrible looking miniatures. Just a 5 man chaos cultist squad. and I still have them. Next we shared a box of deathwatch… and painted them up because we wanted to paint space marines but, the death watch veterans had bit of all of the space marines so we painted them with different Colours. I ended up going and buying myself around 1, 500 points of tau and about 750 points of space marines… my favourite space marines are now dark angels. And he went and bought him self a bunch of grey knights as well as some really cool looking imperial guard proxy units. We built and brought terrain to each others house. We painted and built together got each other gifts and all sorts.

If your ever having issues with starting your army off I suggest the combat patrol packs there 200 Canadian and are dollar sucks. For a space marine army it’s roughly around 500 points which is definitely enough to get into the game and it will give you an idea of what to do and the steps to add onto your team
