Similar things happened in Afganistan last year, Afgani citizens were pleading for Help from west at that time. you can remember scenes from Kabul Airport for which west didn't do anything, similar things are happening in Ukraine, and similar things can happen with Taiwan too.

You should not forget the thousands and thousands of foreign students that are stuck and estranged in country and war that they don't have anything to do with.
It's not only the ukranian that will suffer but also those who came with dreams and hope in their eyes and now everything is shattered.

Kievans couldn't believe that RS troops and tanks could knock at the kiev doors in the north and the east of the city outskirts already after 36 hours of invasion. Many kievans have fled the city with no belongings or just few personal items to wander along the roads outside the city. RS had paused its kiev attack plan in few hours to allow civilians escape or seek shelters. Kiev is running out of ammunitions, fuels and others to defend the city due to logistic problems, as well as RS has seized many ammunition dumps or depots while it cuts off the oil and gas supply to ukraine.
