My teeth flared out I told my dentist about it he didn’t care 😢 he removed my braces even they still flared out. What can I do to fix it ?

distalization didn't help me :(

I was 2 years into my treatment with TADs when my doc told me there was nothing he could do, and he made a mistake by not offering me extractions in the beginning.

He still offered jaw surgery which I did to fix my overbite. Now my teeth are still flared. He suggested IPR but honestly I'm not sure it will be enough.

Is it actually possible to predict in the initial plan if distalization is enough or not? I don't understand why it took him 2 years to realize it was not enough, and I lost so much time and money.

Pretty sure expansions work as well for crowding!

This happened to me after braces. I'm now 32. Is it possible to fix it now that I'm done growing?

Hi Dr Julien, your channel is very informative and I just subscribed! May I ask - For puberty teenager who has option of correcting mild flare teeth via Invisalign or Traditional braces with mini-screws, which method do you prefer for your patients? 🙏

Hi @dr.julien Dr. Julien. This was informative. I'm guessing distalization is only possible if there is an adequate amount of bone behind your last molars for the teeth to move to? In my case my second molars (wisdon teeth were extracted) are already as far back as they can go in my upper jaw but I still have significant flaring and crowding.

My teeth are flaring out on the top and bottom. The doctors recommend pulling 4 teeth out. 2 on top and 2 on the bottom. Does anybody know if this is the right decision or if there are any better ways that does not involve pulling out teeth?

hi doc, i have bimaxillary protrusion and i really really want it gone, i want a flat profile with lips aligned to chin (or even slightly further back if its unavoidable)

22 male
had nonextraction braces 2 years ago and now my teeth are flared, and now my lips and the area around it is puffed and protruded

i know pictures are important in making accurate statements, but i just wanna know your advice in general to fix this.

my facial structure is not forward grown (which is what caused the crowding and protrusion in the first place) but at the same time not really recessed, IMO i have acceptable maxilla and mandible growth, just not optimal

the most effective treatment for this is premolar extractions from what i read online

my concerns are:
-will it affect face width? im at around 12-12.5 cm mandible width which is average, im a male and prefer wider faces
-will it bring back the position of mandible? ive read somewhere online that the mandible goes further back after extractions but dunno how accurate that is
-make palate more narrow?

TLDR: bimax protrusive male that wants a better profile (flatter profile, smaller lips, more chin showing)

as of now i plan to do mewing for 2 yrs to potentially improve it cos its free, but if unable to progress, most likely gonna extract
