Being born and raised in NYC I can appreciate the culture of dressing up everyday and looking your best. Moving to LA I found a very relaxed sense of style and very unsophisticated looks. Wet hair syndrome. Same in Serbia lol. Very similar. I’m an Aussie. Living in Serbia many years. Got the strangest looks wearing flip flops with my business suit. ( I did change shoes before meeting)

08:00 however you can go to a rosticceria and get pizza in slices at lunch time anywhere. In Calabria people get drunk maybe when they are 16 until the are 20 every once in a while like birthday parties, pasquetta, barbecues. In the north they drink more for sure

So true, Calabrese don’t drink to get drunk and act disorderly! Another reason why it’s safe as there is less alcohol fueled violence in public.

Here are a few more what not to do in Calabrian: if you are making a meal you should never serve a fish dish and meat at the same meal. It’s either fish or meat for dinner not both. If you live in the mountains heaven-for-bid you serve fish for dinner, and if you live by the sea heaven—for-bid you serve mushrooms—it is not local! Calabrians are wonderful people, but sometimes too set in their ways. We have a home in Calabria and have lived there off and on for the past ten years and I can totally relate to your videos.

Ha!Ha! I loved this. I am the one who drinks cappucinno after 11, in my flip flops, ordering pizza at lunch, with wet hair and a drink in my hand. Limoncello shots anyone? Mmm! Shrimp fettucine alfredo, load the cheese! Turf and serf lets go. And give me mussels with garlic/lemon/butter? Love Italy.. but I am not going to conform who/what I am, to who they expect me to be. I am willing to be an outcast.. but refuse to be a puppet. The people in my life who ae important will appreciate who I am or not. And as for being a tourist... what is wrong with being a tourist and being seen as such. The only thing that I see wrong as being seen as a tourist, is being taken advantage of. And judged as such!

All true. If people put cheese on these sea food pasta they do not know nothing about good food lol. Even if you walk to a grocery store and walk home you will need a nice bag to carry the groceries.can not show or carry them back home in the grocery white plastic bags.
