Her ult procs resurgence BEFORE the cast for that turn, and then an extra turn after that. So she can have that dmg buff even on a single target. For example if you do ULT > SKILL > SKILL all three of those attacks will be buffed by resurgence.

As a honkai impact player, Seele is one of my favourite characters from that game, so it was no brain choice getting her.

2 things that make Seele more future-proof and much stronger than you think are Laceration and Quantum set. Main carry with built-in RES and DEF penetration won't fall off for very long time.

Nah I don’t think seele is overrated. High damage against 1-4 targets at a time, gets res pen which makes her even more versatile, self speed buff…

I wouldn’t say she is overrated FOR 1.0 and 1.1. Her and jing will be at the top this patch and no matter who is “better” the meta will be one of them on both sides of forgotten hall with their light cone. 1.1 we add supports so no dps units coming for their crowns. 1.2 if what I have heard is true and it’s Kafka and blade then we got Kafka who wants a different team than jing and she is dot focused so still he is safe but the element will now have two good dps units in it. Blade I feel like is a more aggro Clara 😂 he punishes in an aoe and uses skill to buff normal attacks so only costs 1 skill point over 3 turns. 1.3 is the first time we might have a unit to come for the single target crown of seele……but it isn’t her element.

Long story short. Hoyo was smart and made lots of bases to cover so characters stay relevant longer. They don’t come to standard so they need to make sure they are appealing years later on a rerun .

as the game progresses, i think the game moves on to Follow-Up attack units, just because getting out coordinated/follow-up attacks is being efficient of TP usage and dishing out free damage per action / TP usage. TP hungry units will eventually get punished as HoYo will surely make enemies that drain TP or punish actions such as the current Guardian Shadow (the thicc white mage lady).

the final role of Seele will eventually be a driver for several follow-up attacks from others as she can make so many actions per turn if conditions are met. Several actions per turn means more opportunity for follow-ups from other units which i think will describe the future of the game.

Always felt for single target she just becomes a bursty/combo play by using your ultimate before your turn to enter buff state after taking all the buffs so you still have a use of her passive.

So Ting + Bronya and before using Seele's skill you pop the Ultimate, then you use your Skill, and if you get more actions before the turn reset, should still be in buffed state.

As you pointed out Valk, as someone who has pretty much mained Seele since I pulled her, you are 100 percent correct that once you get into higher and higher difficulty things she falls off in terms of damage as she's not able to secure 1 hit kills on even some Mob level enemies that makes her less desireable for higher level SU runs/ certain boss fights.

But that does not change what so ever she is extremely fun to play!!!!

I actually really appreciate you doing the guide later. At least you know her full potential after playing the character for awhile, I'm not a fan of day 1 guides (they always overhype a character). One more thing, Seele is the "only" true Quantum damage dealer we can get access to if we pull her, so, in that case, she's in a special situation because Quanqing is unreliable.

I just feel it's gonna be like Genshin but even more where DPS get power crept hard. Just wait until enemies get spme shielding shenanigans or something that walls her from one shotting while a new DPS can bypass it or something.

It's why I may skip next banner too as F2P tbh, DPS are basically guaranteed to get power crept in a turn based game compared to supports that interact with other units instead of being all about damage.

If you're not F2P it's not a big deal but if you are, you gotta pick for longevity IMO.

My Seele is gloriously OP and my Quantum set is mid-tier at best.
All bosses except 1 summon adds, which means it's easy to keep her buffs up.
When coupled with Silver Wolf, every enemy is going to be weak to Quantum, which means her relic bonus will always be maxed.

I don't think she'll be powercrept for a very long time. Only when Mihoyo releases a Quantum dps that directly replaces her.

FINALLY SOMEONE FUCKING SAID IT, your dps can't just one shot a boss minion summoned by a boss (forget the boss)and thus can't gain extra turn specially in the end game. What you see when seele gains 4 turns is in overworld, plus dps units have a higher chance of being powercrept.

She is insane. I got a cracked f2p account with Gepard E1, Welt, Himeko, Clara and Seele. Those 5 alone allow me to do some nutty things with time skips and dps but Seele hands down carries my damage in 90% of cases. I think she may be powercrept much further down the line but for the next few months at least she should hold up especially when Silverwolf comes and we can force weaknesses on enemies...

Honestly, I wanna know who the Ganyu/HuTao of the game is gonna be. It’s different ofc, since it’s a turn based game and historically, turn based games have CRAZY power creep, and ultimately you wanna get as many units as possible, but still. It would be interesting to see timeless ultimate attack units in Star Rail.

Interestingly right now, without proccing her extra attacks she still is the best single target dps in the game, BUT Dan Heng is close and with a few eidolons he becomes better (I think it’s E4 Dan> E0 Seele with no extra attacks). Playing Seele feels a lot like playing a break effect dps, in that careful management when playing is important to reach max potential.

I think Selee is good to have in comparison to other available characters. I'm not too deep into the game (just finished the second planet boss) but I see various strong enemies being weak to Quantum so she feels convenient at the moment for her type advantage. If enemy battles later become focused on a few tanky enemies no vulnerable to quantum her usability may drop. Bronya compliments her playstyle a lot the team may be quite skill point hungry.

Also the fact that they nerfed her a few times since beta and is still kinda broken in release is crazy, ngl. I can see her kind of struggle in endgame (not one-shotting and all that) but even then, she still dishes out tons of damage.
