Theres a wierd saying in my language that if you translate it directly it says
"Stop giving me an ass when im giving you a face" and it makes me laugh every time. It means dont disrespectful to me when im nice to you

'I ate a baby' means something like 'that was a handful'. It's because to have eaten something often means to have cost something. (It cost me a baby). Some people think it means that they had to put everything into it, so even the help from babies was needed. Others think it originated when losing babies/fetus was very common (obviously a very long time back in history) and they struggled so much they almost lost a baby, hence cost them a baby.
