Chimp Paradox in Action Book (A 10 Year Review)

Here is my story of what happened not by just reading this book but taking action on its model and applying it to my life.

The main points which I find are over looked in many "Reviews" are covered with actual examples of how I applied it to my life.

Iv'e not just read it, I am a member of THE TROOP who has attended at least one Chimp Paradox course every year for the last DECADE.

And this is the truth of what it can do when put into action.

I thought about buying the book last year and never did then it popped back up earlier this week and I’m off to buy it. I also see there is another book called Path through the jungle by Steve which I’m thinking of getting as well, but first is the Chimp Paradox 👍

Nigel, I read the book years ago and it was my bible, but it was one of the books those you have to re read and keep you on the right track ..
so my question is, lockdown came and I didn’t and couldn’t accept the plandemic and lockdowns, I became miserable and depressed ! At the age of 53 my wife had enough of me and told me to leave ! We have two teenage children and my relationship with them isn’t the same !
I am destroyed and don’t see a future ! I don’t get angry anymore, my inner chimp doesn’t come out !
Just depressed, fed up and would love to be dead !

Oh this is so WEIRD! I passed my driving test, some years ago, which was something I desperately wanted to do - but stopped driving because I was so scared on the roads. A work colleague told me to get the Chimp Paradox, which I just really flicked through, but for your review of the book and being a Driving Instuctor - WELL!! Do you think I can get back on the road?

Hey Nigel, this is awesome to hear first hand experience. What’s the best way to digest this book? I’m still listening to the audiobook and haven’t finished it yet. What chapters do you think it might be good to reread a few times because it’s easy to gloss over some details the first read? I think I’m going to pick up a physical copy as well. What are your thoughts on Steven peters other book on resilience?
