I'm running 3D Modeler on a Quest 2 over Link. When I enable Left Handed Controls in the Spatial tab of the Preference menu, my controllers stop working in VR. The tracking is gone and the buttons are unresponsive. The controllers response in Default mode, but as a left handed person, this renders the software useless.

Note: By default, the Oculus app prevents applications from being opened if they haven't been reviewed by Meta. In order to run Modeler, you may need to allow the Oculus app to run content from external sources. You can do this in the menu of the Oculus desktop application. For full instructions on enabling external content, refer to the Meta documentation here.
Note: When using Air Link this setting has to be enabled in the desktop app, instead of the Quest's settings.

Note: Modeler does not work on standalone headsets. Modeler can currently only be run on PC. To use Modeler in VR, connect your headset to your PC either with a physical cable or with technology like Air Link, Steam Link, or Virtual Desktop.

Possible to change the orientation and length of the dashed line that comes off the right hand controller? I don't like it being to the left of my hand, feels very unnatural.

Edit: It's explained in the next video :)

It would be cool for vr if you were like in a room full of tools you could grab off the wall or a desk. Might feel more like traditional crafting that way and save some menu-diving. Maybe a few multi tools that could cycle through related functionality to keep things corralled.

For many people (like me) the first step is not HOW to use the application but to get it into the VR headset. Adobe seems to completely ignore this (for 30 years I wonder why every manual starts with "how to install" chapters. If you cannot even install a software without a manual you should learn how to use a computer first.. this time I would just have had a use for such a simple topic in a manual or help page. There is a help button inside of Modeler "how to setup VR", but links to a page how to use Modeler. A tiny but very atomic difference).

At the end I could connect my Quest 1 to Modeler (with a USB cable) by (dis)connecting the headset several times and restart the program. After a few reconnects inside the Quest came the question if I want to let Modeler take control over the headset and then I was able to use it. Not very user friendly. Seems the problem is on the Quest side and not Modelers, but as I said: Just a little tutorial from Adobe would have helped, not just me.

I wish there was a more intuitive way to switch between Desktop and VR modes without having to take off your headset and wait for the headset to sleep before you can switch to Desktop Mode. The way that Blender does it is perfect. You just push a UI button to turn VR on, and push it to turn VR off. You can even use the Blender desktop editor while in VR. It's a seamless, frictionless transition between the two. Would love to see Modeler copy Blender's way of doing it. At the very least, give us a toggle to go between Desktop and VR. I shouldn't have to take off my headset to switch.

When I loaded up the software first time, nothing would show up in my right hand. I'd select one of the clay shapes, and i'd get nothing pop up on the controller. I'm using the Valve Index.

strange software
not very intuitive
it will have to be decided whether it will be entirely VR or desktop. Both at the same time is not possible.
Too bad but I don't think this strange software lasts long between zbrush and blender.
