Game Theory: Who Does Ash MARRY? (Pokemon)

Friends, as fans of Pokemon know, the journeys of Ash and Pikachu will shortly be coming to an end. After about 25 years of following them, the torch is being passed on to Riko and Roy, our new protagonists for the Pokemon Anime. HOWEVER… we all know with new protagonists comes the speculation as to how they’re related to the OLD protagonists, and loyal theorists, I think we’ve got this one figured out. MatPat uses “Settle in and Theorize with me!” and it is HIGHLY EFFECTIVE!

If Riko isn't Ash's daughter, I'd be surprised if Riko isn't *Dawn's* daughter. They look too similar to not be related

Even if Ash isn’t revealed to be Riko’s father, I really hope we get to see an older version of him in the new anime, maybe as a gym leader or something.

That's what I keep saying. As cool as it would be for Riko to be Ash's daughter and as much as my shipping heart would love it - let's be honest - she's likely just a girl who saw Ash's final match against Leon and wanted to become an awesome trainer just like him. She became a fan of his, wearing that hairclip as an homage to his beginnings as a trainer.

I wouldn't be surprised if the hairclip is just an indication that Ash is an inspirational figure for her. It makes it feel like the baton is being passed without getting into the mess that is protagonist bloodlines.

In my wildest hopes, I’d love for Riko to be the (adopted) child of Jesse and James. It would be cool to see the protagonist of the new series as the child of the main antagonists of the old.

It represents the Pokémon League which is why ash had the hat he was a fan of them meaning she could easily be a fan too who knows maybe even a fan of Ash

I love how Game Theory has come back to genetics. One of my favourite episodes has always been the old Rosalina one and it makes me so happy to see that concept come back
