Tyre pressures are one of the BIGGEST causes of excessive tyre wear on your 4WD. 😬

In this ep, Jocko goes through everything YOU need to know about your pressures ON & OFF road and how to reduce your time spent airing up & airing down.

We’re also going to completely tear apart a high quality air compressor & a cheap compressor to show exactly what the differences are so you can make an informed choice when buying your next air compressor! 📝

Jocko runs Kumho tyres on his 4WDs.

I’m new to 4WD driving, having just bought my D-Max a few months ago, and Mount Mee Forest Drive has quickly become my favorite so far. It’s conveniently close and a great spot for getting used to my new car. The track offers a good mix of terrain that’s perfect for learning the basics while enjoying some the scenery. It’s been a fantastic place to start my 4WD journey.

This is one of the better explanations for why dropping tyre pressure off-road is essential for safety, peace of mind, accessibility, and track damage. Great work.

My FAV track is IMOGENE Pass, Colorado. Because not only does it take your breath away, but now every time I drive it I cant stop thinking about Shauno ‘s face expression when he first drove it! 😂

Favourite track would be Pieman Heads in TAS. Because I was able to take my 80 year old Dad with me on a long overdue camping trip and show him an area he hadn’t seen before. Much pleasure was had seeing him enjoy the trip.

I'm in the USA and my favorite track is Hell's Revenge in Moab, UT. I've ran it several times and still love it every time. I have an old four hose set up I made myself and it definitely makes things quicker and more consistent. The biggest advantage to the four hose system to me is saving my back and knees as I'm an old man. Thanks for the great video!

My favorite off-pavement track is a local logging and forest service road that connects Sullivan Lake in Washington to Upper Priest Lake in Idaho. The road takes a couple hours to drive and I take it every year. It is my favorite because this one is in my own back yard, just a few miles up the road from my house.

My favorite 4wd trail is Medano Pass in Colorado. It’s got rock climbs, a little muddy during the rainy seasons, a few river crossings, and some nice places to let the dog out to run.

My favourite track is the Holland track in Western Australia. The track is very challenging with very large bog holes and the chicken tracks are more like rooster tracks. The scenery is always changing from mallee scrub to dense medium height woodlands to almost barren waste land. Yet is still a track a 4wder with average experience can tackle solo. The camping is one of the best I have experienced.

Just finished doing a trip from Melbourne to Uluru and back in 11 days. On the way back we took Finke road to Dalhousie then went down the Oodnadatta and that is so far my favourite track to drive. Keep up the awesome work Jock

This video was very informative on the air compressor test & temperature differences, keep up the great work. My favourite 4wd track is the Old Tele Track because it’s an iconic track, changing every year, meet some fantastic like minded people & everyone is there for the experience & have fun doing it. Everyone has a smile on their faces when up the top

American viewer here, my favorite track I've driven so far is probably Imogene Pass in Telluride, CO. That weekend we also ran Black Bear Pass, which is quite infamous for deadly rollovers. In fact we were lucky it was open this season, and it closed two days after we left (as did Imogene) because of mudslides caused by heavy rains. Black Bear was definitely the more challenging trail, and much scarier, but Imogene was my favorite because as you come down the pass, you descend into a lush, almost rainforest, biome. It was also quite wet while we were there, which gave it a Pacific Northwest rainforest type of vibe. Higher than normal river crossings, dense green vegetation, the needles of the pine trees dripping water. It was like driving through Endor.

I picked up a morrflate and a 4 way last year. The only bad this was the wait since it was on back order. Very nice product and a lot quicker than my old setup.

Sky trek in the Flinders Rangers. It’s literally the gateway to the SA outback. The views from the top of the track are truly gob smacking. It’s definitely some of the best 4 wheeling in the country

Canning Stock Route is probably my favourite. I've done it a couple times now with my old man (12 years old and 20 years old) I'm 40 now and heading off again to the CSR in Sept. I love the CSR because it is always changing. Sand dunes to flooded areas at times, the vegetation from desert oaks to all the wild flowers after a rain, it's just simply stunning.

The Air compressor would be amazing for the trip especially at the end airing back up after all the 900+ sand dunes. 🛻

I reckon the Canning Stock Route for the ultimate remote off-road track. The remoteness, lack of people, length and constant changing countryside made it one of my most memorable tracks.

Don’t have an air compressor yet, good timing guys. My favorite track is the old grafton road near Grafton. It’s really cruisy with loads of riverside camping and good scenery. There’s a sick tunnel you drive through, and lots of harder off road tracks that come off it.

Favourite track still to this day has got to be ingeegoodbe in the Victorian high country. Has some super slippery steep hill climbs and rutted out areas that lead to an awesome hilltop view. Venture further along and you find some unreal open camp areas to sit back relax and sink a cold one. Take me back 👌🏻

My favorite 4WD track is the Oodnadatta Track in South Australia. It's a classic outback route, packed with history and stunning scenery. I love the mix of challenges, from navigating corrugated roads to enjoying the wide-open desert landscapes. Plus, the chance to visit iconic spots like the Pink Roadhouse and Lake Eyre makes it a truly unforgettable experience.

My favourite is Watson Road at Glass House. I’ve taken several different vehicles up and I’ve seen you guys do it several times. It’s always different each time and ALWAYS a decent challenge. Love it!
