I really like how they choose to keep it black and white, and did a good job sticking to Junji Ito's art style. A Beserk adaptation would go crazy if they did it like this.

This is definitely the best anime adaption of any of Junji Ito’s works and it’s only a minute and a half long. The lack of color means they’re able to put all their effort into the actual character designs and animation. What an amazing decision!

This style is perfect for Uzumaki, and making it colorless adds more eerie atmosphere and tension, fitting for a dark and suspenseful story.

Edit: Thanks for the likes! Color adaptations often lose the manga's details and textures. Netflix has tried before, but it looks decent, not scary.

This is a thousand times better than that one netflix adaptation of junji ito's work. You can tell these people really put a lot of time and effort and love into this. It looks so good! I was so dissapointed with that thing from netflix but I'm so excited to see this when it comes out. I didn't even know you guys were working on this!
