This is the most 80’s thing ever! 👌 Beats the cringe Army commercials of today though. 😖

Commercials like this got me into the Army. I never got to be a Ranger. Closest I got was 5 Jump Chump. But I did have a fairly good time (on average), got a $40k annual pension, and invested the salary to become financially independent. It’s a career that gives back what you give. Though it takes a little bit of luck.

I remember watching that commercial. I was still in High School at that time. I was never a ranger, but I went to Fort Benning for basic training and AIT in 1986 and 1987 for my AIT. Thanks 😊.

This one is kinda sad because most of the Rangers who served in Mogadishu, 1993 were in the Rangers because of this commercial. They didn't know what was in store for them on that fateful day..
