And this is why I highly appreciate my nutritionist telling me that if all I can do is microwave frozen food and call it a day, it's still valid

I don't open the fridge multiple times to see if there's more food. I open the fridge multiple times to see if my standards have lowered

Yeah. My husband routinely comes home to discover that I've had nothing but coffee for the last ten hours. Drives him nuts!

When I heard that "we'll come back and get some food" internally I was screaming a long, horror filled, drawn out, no! Because I knew what would happen next and I felt that look of "oh, no, I forgot" in my soul...
(As I sit here, stomach growing at me, because I haven't eaten anything yet today. Not even any coffee.)

I tell people at work I forget to eat, they're like how?! Glad it's not so weird

This is why I have an entire drawer in my freezer dedicated to different types of dumplings.

Being hungry and not finding anything I want, postpone eating, start to get cold and tired, lay down under my blanket, get a headache, remember I need to eat to be fine again, rely on my boyfriend to help me with this problem

I can't see leftovers. They just blend in with everything else in the fridge and I can't process what's even available. I'll look at a fully stocked fridge including leftovers and say "there's nothing to make!"

I always forget to eat but when I do remember, I'm so hungry I'm sure I'm dying but I still don't want to cook because I'm sure I would starve before the food was done 😂

Sometimes I ignore my hunger to the point of nausea. Not sure if it's trauma or undiagnosed ADHD or both, but it sucks. I try to keep stocked up with fruits for that reason alone. Apples and mint tea are great if your tummy hurts, yogurt and any source of fiber is great for getting ready to eat a meal after a day-long empty stomach. I freeze my bread and if I don't havefrsh cheese and deli, I have some frozen stuff. Good enough to get by in a pinch until I'm hyperfixated on cooking a specific meal again

I don't often get stomach growls (that I can feel) but what I DO get are severe shakes in my hands and an increasing sense of dread. I call it "Emergency Mode". Legitimately if I forget to eat for long enough it will trigger something in me that feels akin to a panic attack; like I'm starving to death in real time. Eating anything, and I mean LITERALLY ANYTHING, will stop it. An apple, a slice of unbuttered bread, a handful of shredded cheese - _anything!_ I just need to eat immediately or else. Similarly with dehydration, I can ignore chapped lips and a dry throat, but there's a point my skin feels shrink-wrapped onto me and I NEED water to stop the shaking instead of coffee or tea. This is not healthy, but since I can't percieve the passage of time or feel my own body otherwise I keep experiencing Emergency Mode.

Some presliced cheese and deli meats are always a good alternative to an actual meal. Tho I think my mom gets annoyed that all her sandwich stuff disappears overnight lol

By this measure and so many others I have seen online, I definitely have ADHD.

Thats why I appreciate some good frozen and microwavable meals. Getting a good variety of easy to make meals without having to cook for too long.

i get stuck in these situations. couple days without food really starts to put some perspective on how much something can just shut you down like that.

I almost don't feel any hunger since my teen years. I was happy my boyfriend usually told me when he was hungry, so we both ate... But after some time together he also started to forget...
Now he eats whenever he feels the hunger and I sometimes remember when I see him eating...
