What SpaceX just did with Falcon Heavy will blow your mind!!

Running from the control room to the outside like a kid, holding the head and looking up at the sky in happiness. Those are the lovely reactions of Elon Musk - one of the richest billionaires in the world and also the owner of the world's largest rocket-manufacturing company.
Do you remember what caused Musk to react like that? Yeah! That was Falcon Heavy, when it was first launched on February 6, 2018. Not only us but even the Falcon Heavy’s owner were surprised by what it could do.
After five years, with several more launches, Falcon Heavy has never disappointed us. It can be said that each its mission blows our mind, even the most demanding persons.
So how Falcon Heavy can do that?
Stay tuned as we dive and more in this episode of Alpha Tech.
If we look at the list of vehicles that SpaceX has created, we can consider Falcon Heavy as the "younger brother" of Falcon 1 and Falcon 9 because it was manufactured after these vehicles. Funnily, this younger brother looks larger and stronger than its older brothers. Based on the structures of Falcon 9, the special thing that Falcon Heavy has is two side boosters next to the core booster to increase thrust.
With the addition of those two boosters, the Falcon Heavy's first stage has 27 Merlin engines. Thanks to that, the power of the first stage increased three times, helping the vehicle fly higher, and farther, and be able to carry larger payloads than previous Falcon versions. It can carry payloads of up to 63.8 tons to LEO, 26.7 tons to GTO, and 16.8 tons to Mars. The mass of Falcon Heavy has increased 2.5 times compared to Falcon 9, reaching 1420 tons.

I’m really getting fed up with the clickbait title of NASA being Shocked.

I couldn’t help noticing the comments, eg “…getting fed up with clickbait title of NASA being shocked” He’s kinda got a point. Maybe it should have read something like: ‘NASA is envious & embarrassed for not selecting SpaceX for the SLS project’. Awesome video guys—keep them coming!

Don't want to make it sound like the launch of Falcon Heavy is a consolation prize, but still can't waiting to see the main event a Starship launch!!

Excellent synopsis of Falcon Heavy progress. Now, I've caught up in that area.
(It's easy to lose track with SpaceX operating at the speed of Musk, IMO.)
I never get "bored" with Falcon 9.
Each event is a piece of the future puzzle and the landings are spectacular too.
The night launches only make me fast forward a bit, on the replay. ;)

Interesting idea of FH being used for the Artemis mission.

I still recall the moment I saw dual booster landing. It was a defining moment of the future to me.

ps. You do not need clickbait. You have many fans who believe what you do with this channel is great already!! Cheers!!!

People should really give credit more on spacex engineer workers. They have given their sweat and blood and ideas. That E guy doesn't deserve it he just wants to get everyone ideas. label it he's own

Nice job with this Falcon 9 report and your earlier report on the evolution of Falcon. I know Musk said it was harder than he thought it would be to attach the two side boosters to the center. That said, I am disappointed that there hasn't been a four side booster version built. A FalconUber could knock out ULA/Vulcan when ULA runs into Be4 engine issues.

Where is the best place to watch the Oct Falcon Heavy Launch? Any Tips?

Nice summary, well done, but VERY deceptive titling. Are you a former New York Times writer?

As well as landing the side boosters back at the launch area, I believe the center booster also landed on one of the recovery barges - a three-for-three grand slam!
(Please correct me if I'm in error…)

I wish they'd make Falcon SUPER Heavy with four boosters and a core. JUST FOR FUN!

I bet the Space Force and NRO launches don't get held up by the FAA.

The Falcon Heavy lacks a high-ISP kick stage for interplanetary missions!

I know its clickbatey but still a nice booster for the cause. With Falcon 9 being so cheep and effective their is a lot less need for FH. Mostly government spy stuff. It's almost funny. Space X with these two rockets can and is totally dominating the space lift market. All the other guys are non competitive already so will get sold or have government support. The next 10 years are Space X to rule. I would guess that Raptor will replace the Merlin someday and it's less expensive to make so we will have Falcon 9+ that will be even lower cost to launch. Not even China can do it so cheep. I'm waiting for the day that China companies come over here to get a lift!!!
