Starship is absolutely gargantuan, and by far the most powerful rocket ever built.
The fact that its huge, 240 foot tall first stage, can be gently caught for re-use, has mind-boggling implications for the economics of space flight.

It still gets to me that SpaceX almost didn't make it beyond 2006. It strangely goes to show that great ideas die from lack of belief and investment.

I almost started crying. I'm not a scientist, I'm not an engineer, I didn't finish college, but this entire team shouting and cheering to show support and solidarity for this crazy cool achievement just got to me a bit. Congratulations for making it so far guys and gals.

Absolutely incredible. We all take aviation and aerospace engineering for granted. This is so far beyond a commercial airplane its insane. Its like starwars ships where there able to decend fast and then come back down from using boosters like these to make swift landings. So revolutionary. The engineering difference from airplanes needing runways and then speed stoppers once you land to this–full on rocket using power to make smooth landing vertically from gravity pulled drop–mind boggling
