HIKVISION RTSP STREAM SETUP

In this video we show you how to use RTSP / HTTP to stream IP camera video on an external third party, for example VLC player. You can also use RTSP stream URLs to live stream video to a website.

In this video we use Hikvision's 12MP Fisheye camera, DS-2CD63C5G0-IVS to demonstrate this function.

Thank you so much! I couldn't figure out what the URL was exactly till I watched your video. Now everything works great. Have to wait for it to stream and can't get it to be high bitrate on wireless but that's a network issue, not a camera issue.

I have a setup with a DS-7604 NVR, can this method be used within the Hikivison NVR to pickup a remote IP camera at a different location? So it shows as like another camera substream ?. Great video

Thanks for the help! I got this setup with your help. I can view 3 cams, main or sub streams just fine but when i view channel 0, the resolution is rubbish. Any way to change that?

hi there! thanks for the video. ... Why in vlc a 1080p camera shows shrinked like 1080x1920 (1080 width). I shall rotate the cameras for optimal view?? 16:9'ish?

Hii Dave, is the HIKVision model DS-2DE442IW-DE can stream to vlc too? cause till now I cannot stream the camera to VLC player. I have follow your instruction but is not working for me. Is any others suggestion for me?

So far, so good, but you didn't show the resolution of that rtsp streaming (in vlc... Information... coding)
Some dvr can only stream 720p.
I am intersted to know if there are dvr with 1080p resolution for rtsp streaming.

I have camerais running on POE switch without any NVR. it is accessible through HikVision app but not accessible directly on webpages.
