Just wanted to point out that I used the Waves Rack because it's the only way I currently have to test this technique with Plugindoctor. I haven't noticed any significant performance differences between using 8 NLS channels and the Waves Rack. While they don't sound exactly alike (they don't no perfectly), the difference is, in my opinion, negligible. Other console emulations or plugins that introduce non-linear saturation can be just as good, if not better, especially if you're willing to compensate for the low-end bump in some cases.

Sorry, let me get this straight. Are all NLS instances put on a parallel drum bus or the drum bus itself or on each individual drum tracks ?
I've just not used pro tools a couple of times so I might see it completely wrong ...
