My favourite adventure bike tyre the Mitas E07+
I hope you enjoy my tyre review on this great tyre, first time I've used them both front and back.
I pushed the bike to its limits, on the trail, road, mx track pretty much anywhere I would take my KTM 1290!

I hope you enjoy this video,

One of the best tyre and bike tests I've watched

This is without a doubt the best tire review. No fluff, multiple real life applications done over and over..
Well done,

This is what I call a review. Thank you so much. 👍 If anyone has tried Mitas E07 (50/50) tires, I would love to hear about their maneuverability and cornering stability.

I was the 1K like on this video.

Me and you are about the same, skill-wise (from what I saw here) and I enjoy doing the same stuff you did in this clip with my 500EXC and 990 Adventure.

I just bought the E07+ rear for the first time for the 990, but the Dakar version which is, as I understand, a very different tire to the regular one.

I bought the stiffer but less grippy compound because I ride very hard rocky & gnarly sections (think Rally Acropolis terrain - literally where I ride in) and my tires get shredded in no time (last 908RR lasted only 3K kms! an 180 Euro tire!) and also have to ride tarmac to get to my riding spots.

In the wet it's going to be a bit sketchy but I'm willing to take the risk. Tested it yesterday in rain and it was spinning as soon as it touched a white line (steady throttle, one gear up from what I'd be ridding in dry conditions).

I'm curious to see its longevity and overall performance on wet rocks and wet grassy patches (which is going to be the most challenging). Front is now a regular E07 after MT21s which were ok until the middle row of knobbies disappeared every next one (because some of the middle ones are hard and some are soft) creating a droning noise under braking on tarmac.

I'll manage. Thanks for the clip.

I run have run the E07 and plus on my 1190r. The best combo I have found is a E07 plus on thr front for better corner feel and a std E07 on the rear for better traction in the gravel. Currently have a set of E07 plus Dakars on after a trip to the Cape last year, over 10000 km on them so far. The rear is getting down and only a little bit of wear on the front.
The the harder rubber compound in the Dakar is noticeable in reduced grip in the wet and at lower temps, and the additional side wall stiffness is noticeable. I don't think the Dakar are an advantage unless you need the puncture resistance or the long km wear. I'm wondering if the E10s might be the go.

Love the videos, keep them coming.

Cheers Steve

Top video review, well done, I was particularly impressed by the front end performance. I have these on my 690, amazing on the road and a lot better off road than I could possibly have predicted. Be cautious if you fit the Dakar version re wet performance on tarmac. I have heard they can be very dodgy, designed for high temperature desert racing, very stiff sidewalls.

that was one very detailed review. Love your riding skills off road.

Thank you. Please also try the AX41. Used them for little more of 30000 km. 12000 of that not tarmac. I love them.

Fantastic review, the best and most thorough I've watched. Thank you for taking the time! Hope you'll follow up at end of tire life with km traveled and overall impression. Will you buy them again?

Awesome review, thank you for your work! I'll have a set in the near future. Be advised, Motorcycle Adventures here on YT did a review of this tire as well and advises against the Dakar version. As stated on the product page, it's a harder compound, fit for hot environments, but not in cold/wet conditions.

Great and thorough vid and good to see them on a range of surfaces on a big bike. I use them on a 1200 and really like them. E09's are good too for more grip in the muddy stuff but less wear of course.

I have Mitas E07plus on my BMW G 650 GS. I find them better than expected on sealed roads and surprisingly poor on loose gravel . For someone with better off-road skills they are probably fine - but I just don't have confidence in them on dry loose gravel. and find them no better than the Metzler Tourance tyres they replaced for that application. I'll probably go back to a more road orientated tyre and just plod along nice and slow on the off-road stuff next time around and enjoy the better mileage and grip in the wet the Tourance and similar tyres offer.
