RE: PAUSING, EXPRESSIONS & AIR-INSTRUMENTS:
Please be mindful that we will pause (we prefer to react in the moment & to avoid copyright strike), we will react with enthusiasm, smiles, tears, conversation, exchanged looks and air-instruments. We are expressive by nature and are truly very quirky in every sense of the word. This is who we are and this is what we’ve got to offer. We understand it may not be for everyone, but here's to hoping you all enjoy and we absolutely love positive comments and feedback.

RE: LIVE VERSIONS vs STUDIO:
Check out why we haven't uploaded any live versions... yet. They will be coming, we promise!

Guys, you need to check out Sultans of Swing from Alchemy Live. It’s from a 1983 concert and has a little harder edge than the studio version, and it’s epic. Thank you for all of your reactions!

Dire Straits is so good live. Saw them many years ago. Knopfler just so good at improvisation when he plays. Always a jam session.
This song is similar in structure to “Six Blade Knife” another great groove tune.

Also one of my favorite all time albums. He's got the touch and sense of time and he's not afraid to use it.

He's a lefty but plays a regular guitar.

Actually, this was a full concert in Germany, not just a TV special 🙂 they played songs from the first two albums, and some unreleased songs as well 🙂 including Sultans of Swing twice 😃 and MK didn't do drugs, he was really thin here 😃

I love these guys since I was 20 in 1978 and I love Roller Girl which has great clean guitar work

Great choice Nick. Dire Straits is brilliant, this album and Love Over Gold are especially good. You and Lex should do more songs that you guys know and react to them. This was great.👍👍👍

Hey guys. Love your channel. I really recommend the song Brothers In Arms-Live Dire Straits "On The Night" 1993. Every reactor I've seen stated that it had a massive impact on them. Marks guitar playing on his Pensa is breathtaking. Dire Straits Live is so much more enjoyable as you get to see Mark and the band do their thing. So talented. Anyway Cheers from Australia 😊🎸🎸🎸

Others have suggested checking out some performances from Alchemy Live. I think you might also enjoy 'Once Upon a Time in the West' - the opening song from that concert.

Thanks for reminding me I haven't listened to this album in a while, guys. Classic from start to finish, although I prefer the later stuff. Awesome performance.

Yup: Sultans of Swing from Alchemy. And Telegraph Road, from the same concert tour. But especially Sultans. You won't believe anything about it, especially how much more confident Mark has become by then - and the DRUMMING! One of the most exciting performances I've ever seen. Anywhere.

What an absolute treat guys! Mark is an incredible guitarist and is a pleasure to watch live. I've never had the privilege of seeing him live but there's lots on Youtube of course. You talk about his 'country' sound on the debut album; check out his 2006 collaboration with Emmylou Harris called 'All The Roadrunning'. It's a tremendous album and the tour supporting the album is on Youtube. My favourite track is 'This Is Us', Emmylou is just so cool and beautiful, and Mark plays a killer solo with a great band backing them.

My favorite song by them. Allso dig One World & Once upon a time in the west.

Guys, you really have to watch Sultans of Swing on the Alchemy live album. It will blow your mind. It's incredible. The drummer, Terry Williams, not Pick on first 4 albums, is just unbelievable. Here are some facts for you. MK is naturally left handed but plays right as his sister told him guitarist's don't play left handed so he learnt right. Pick Withers real name is David but Marks brother is David, so to save confusion, he changed to Pick.

Saw Dire Straits 3-21-79 for $5.00 in a small bar in Houston called Texas Opry House. It was their 1st tour. Good show. Saw the Police at the same venue earlier that month for $3.00. Also 1st tour.
