As a foreigner, it baffles me that using your ID to vote is somehow a divisive topic in the US. Insane.

Why are black Americans treated like utter idiots? I would be so offended and pissed

Bigotry of low expectations. Making assumptions about other people’s intelligence based primarily on their skin color is inherently reductive.

"They don't have a knowledge of how it works", "They're not aware", "They're not informed"...
Speak for yourself, young lady. You're the one who is neither aware nor informed about the world. Think before you speak.

ID to drive, buy alcohol, board a plane, etc…..it’s a mystery to me why this is even a topic.

Democratic Liberals treating us like children goes way back. Watching footage of Thomas Sowell debating Harriet Pilpel in 1981 about school choice was a "scales falling from the eyes" moment for me. There truly is a vile infantilization that is hard baked into the Democratic Party and is still there today.

If voter i. d. Laws are racist then the same logic would demand that requiring a i. d. To purchase a firearm must also be racist. Right ?

What's interesting is that you need a government issued photo ID to apply for welfare benefits or for Social Security/Medicare.

As a life long democrat I used to believe this. But the past couple years have really been eye opening

LOL! Those are absolutely the most racist answers I've ever heard! Wow! You can't even make this stuff up. One of my very best friends is black, I'm going to ask him today how he feels about being a little dumber than the rest of us and having trouble getting his ID. I hope he's not angry about it. HAHA

I'm so thankful that more and more people in entertainment are waking up. I started to wake up in 2008. It's a lonely place being wide awake in L.A. when you are living among the brainwashed.

ID's are required for a lot of things, like to cash a check, to go to a bar, buy cigarettes, drive a car, get a passport. I've even had to show my ID to buy a can of spray paint. I'm a white, upper middle-class female, I can't get a $20 check cashed without ID. Voter ID should be required to vote. Voting is our greatest privilege and responsibility, and it should be reserved for card carrying Americans, and at the voting sites on election day, with few exceptions.

My state requires ID and it’s not even an inconvenience.
It would cut down on voter fraud.

You have to have an ID to get a costco card...

I'm from a small town in West GA, population is roughly 50/50 white and black, and literally nobody has any trouble voting. All you have to do is drive to the post office or one of the local rec centers, show you driver's license, and you're good to go.

Its what grown ups do. You need an ID for more than voting.

“They can’t figure out how to get an ID, but they can figure out how to inform themselves of the various candidates enough to make a rational decision on who should run things.”

Being from another country and seeing that some Americans consider having a voter id racist is just unreal.

I love how every person being interviewed are literally just parroting the exact same talking points fed to them by mainstream media outlets like CNN.

So people coming from another country can come here and know how to get an ID but you're telling me black Americans can't figure out how to get one? I would venture to say that most every black person in this country has a damn ID.
