Thanks for watching, and I hope you all enjoyed a return to the world of Lethal Company! Me and my friends have been really enjoying the game again ever since version 50 was pushed to the beta branch, so I hope you like this look into one of the most intriguing elements thus far. Cheers!

Somebody theorized that the loud noises and bright lights produced by the old birds are meant to counter coil heads, as their entry states that coil heads get stunned when faced with loud noises or bright lights. While it's probably referencing the stun grenade, it's an interesting thought, but old birds are way too big and armed to be a reasonable counter against a coil head.

Perhaps they built the Old Birds to guard against Blind Dogs, Giants and other creatures that come out at night. But these ended up getting out of control, associating anyone who left the shelters at night as threats.

"At Nightfall", but it's literally hell by 11:00 AM

You know, the info entry for Embrion makes me wonder if Zeekerss' recent comment about wanting to add more interior variety to the game has anything to do with the "vast cave network" mentioned in that entry. A "caves" interior would be a fitting addition.

19:51 would keep in mind that it is outright told/implied old birds were disassembled and dissected. It is not a stretch to assume old birds due to the sheer terror they caused were remade to protect facilities. Especially since all old birds no matter the tim will activate when a core is pulled from it's plug.

Would also mention, ORIGINAL programming, I'm willing to bet that some old birds were reprogramed to enter hostile or uncharted planets. Especially if war was happening. Like war 101 in history is, steal enemy tech.

These are robots, robots follow commands to the letter, no matter what. A fully wiped and reprogrammed old bird could exhibit unusual behavior.

So I 100% believe old birds hop planets. However whether or not they were meant to, is another thing entirely.

Automatons? Sounds like Artifice is in dire need of some democracy.

Old Birds have audio of babies crying since humans are hardwired to respond to the sound of a human baby's cries. If you didn't know what it was, you would immediately go and investigate to see what was wrong, only to see a 19-foot tall metal giant with the power of the sun for a head staring directly at you.
As to why this was used, it's tough to say. It was intentional, but what the reason for doing so is really up to whoever interprets it. It could be used to lure in unsuspecting victims, or it could be used to break soldiers' morale and sanity having to hear a prerecorded sound of a baby crying for days and weeks on end.

I’m so glad you connected the toy robot with the Old Birds, as soon as I saw the giant version I knew the toy HAD to be a replica of an Old Bird. I thought this simply because of the fact that it’s a robot that makes loud noise. When you mentioned they both make eerie sounds that children would make, it clicked and that solidified the theory in my mind.

The genuine war machines make crying sounds to psychologically damage the enemy, and the toys make laughing sounds to make them more appealing and less “scary” to their own population.

It’s like having a Batman action figure or plushie as a kid here on Earth, you feel “safe” knowing that your protector is out there fighting the good fight. It’s meant to add morale.

This update technically added 4 whole enemies, though mask hornets are similar to the bees.

I don’t know if this is pointed out later since I’m commenting this right after this time stamp, but the toy robot wears headphones, further solidifying the theory that it is a family-friendly toy version of the Old Birds, which have giant speakers or “sound cannons.”

Something interesting me and my buddies found out was that, if you go through that hole in 68-Artifice, there is a sand landscape that if you go far enough and see the horizon from where you landed, there is an ENTIRE CITY lined in the horizon. Old facilites, buildings, giant machines, and even after nightfall, no enemies show at all. Nothing. just pure sand with nothing else to see, but the city. Took us the whole day walking through the sand, and nothing happened.

If Old Birds are nicknamed "Walking Ransom Notes, " that implies the existence of a known location to send some form of payment to get them to leave. If not, the nickname makes zero sense. Looking forward to the update that adds "The Mechanist"

Calling it now, between the old birds being offensive weapons of war and the torpedo on the side of the company building, everything's shaking up for us to attack the company

44-Liquidation and the “Anglen Empire” leads me to believe there will be a water moon that would be dark with anglers who would search the depths of the ocean floor looking for crew members to devour (Ik it sounds stupid)
