The barter system is fine but doesn't work on a grandeur scale...

This is the curious moment JP is asking question in pursuit to learning something new instead of defending the mental schematics he keeps of how he understands the world to work.

There's no taxation in a proprietary economy, a proprietary economy Works in harmony with the first law thermodynamics, a universal law so maybe the whole tax thing is like upside down you get the worst service and you pay the most something wrong with that!🔭

This guy knows nothing about Bitcoin. Bitcoin is not anonymous. If anything it would make taxes unavoidable and instantly paid.

Mutual voluntary exchange? You mean you think people are going to deposit money just to give it up? Recipe for pay to play politics, I think.

That how africa got round the sanctions. Free market sounds like a plan. The problem I see with that is people export product for country to country. I agree trade locally?

The problem with free market fixing societal issues is that some issues aren't profitable and sometimes downright negative, and sometimes highly moral that money / profit shouldn't dictate its solutions. And those are just gonna get shoved under the rug without collective taxation.

I'm pretty sure mutual voluntary exchange is just taxation, you as a citizen and citizens as a whole have voted people into office to decide how much income a citizen should voluntarily give to the community for projects and protection. At least that's what I understand when I hear, mutually volunteered exchange.

I wonder if things like roads would then take on a toll-like system?

That is not at all a solution to taxation. I HATE taxes more then anyone. But that man should have been called stupid for his response on the spot

Wrong, Sparky…you missed your opportunity to advocate a SALES TAX so that those who are comfortable enough to spend money on products will at the same time support the infrastructure…and if EVERYONE IS FREE FROM GOVT MANIPULATION, WE NO LONGER NEED A MASSIVE MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX!

the government can start taxing bitcoin.
in congress they are considering slapping a capital gains tax on it.
