In my experience, old people talk alot about how things used to be; I'm 63yo and that's what I'm gonna do now. When I was a kid, "nature specials" occurred maybe once per year.
Jacques Cousteau, Jane Goodall, brought to us from Nat Geo, that was about it.
We now have 24 hr channels devoted to animals/nature.
We have 4K resolution and 65"TVs. We also have 2 Nat Geo channels. How lucky we are today.

Is it true the Gina Carano episode has been removed from Season 6 of Running Wild with Bear G? If so why? Please explain.

Gah! I actually cried so much watching this! Whales are so *gorgeous!* They are my everything! And to hear them and see them - even in such a short trailer - moved me to tears. I'm such a sap for these creatures. :')

Loved the series, especially the episode on sperm whales but I have to mentioned the most awe-inspiring scene was where the humpback whales come together to bubble fish in Antarctica. The sperms sleeping seemed like there were meditating. One of the most beautiful documentaries!

I'm watching the first episode now, and just want to clarify two things. 1) It would have been nice to hear a mention of how for years Orcas have been believed to be whales, but a few years ago it's been found they are actually the largest member of the dolphin family. 2) while you guys were in New Zealand, I'm not surprised the mother of that Pod offered you guys food, and that the large male allowed you to help. These orcas are use to human interaction. Due to their unique hunting skills and the prey they go after, sometimes they end up beached. Dr. Ingrid Visser and her team at the Orca Research Trust are often called to help beached orcas and other sea animals. Dr. Ingrid Visser is out for days/weeks at a time on the ocean, documenting and researching the New Zealand Orcas. She's been in the water to document them as well, and while she keeps her distance, the orcas, being curious, often would interact with her. She has developed a relationship of trust with many of them over the years. They probably thought you were her or a member of her team.
