It's not just Nickelodeon, child performers have been taken advantage of by their parents and studios ever since the advent of child performers. Sherly Temple, Judy Garland, Macaulay Culkin, Gary Coleman, Natalie Wood. The are simply too many names to list. There has always been a deal with the devil that must be signed in order to make it into Hollywood or any level of the entertainment industry. Nobody gets in on the back of their talent alone and once they get in the studios own them. They are used for all they are worth then kicked to the curb when they are no longer wanted. I forget which streaming service its on. I think Netflix is a Nickelodeon documentary made by Nickelodeon. They ignore Dan Schneider and his horrible actions entirely throughout the documentary making it about how it was a female-run network and women's empowerment and other stuff. Meanwhile I'm just sitting there thinking... Should I be 'celebrating' the women who allowed Schneider to do such things under their watch?
