Thank you for the video Barry. I'm from France but this video helped me with the bounce back technique a lot.
I was having trouble with making the ball not jump as I learned that technique before and now I couldn't hit the ball low without making it jump. I realized in every shot I do I make too much of an angle due to playing in my cousin's small garage.
Will definitely check out the other videos.

Thank you Mr. Stark for this tutorial. I recently had some doubts regarding my backspin practise but you cleared it in a question I asked and now this video helps further to clarify the practise.

Barry, you truly are a champion. The world snooker federation or whomever the powers may be should honour you for these videos. You have simplified the game for so many and who know, the next world champion might start his/her journey from your tutorials.

Hello Sir from Greece,
This is another useful video!!!
Amateurs like me, need to realize that this kind of shot, is not as terrifying as it looks. It just requires calm and gentle movements of the arm that delivers the cue. Nothing fancy.
I always practice this shot, before a match play with my friend.
I can't get the cue ball travel that far back. I suppose it has to do with the cloth we play on.
There's always a way to improve our playing.
Practice, practice and practice!!!!
Thank you Sir for another wonderful

I think this is a good exercise for beginners (like me). I was having trouble screwing back even over short distance, and I discovered it is because I was 'scooping' ever so slightly on all of my shots. This helped me correct my normal center ball shots too.

I love your videos I learn something new most of the time, never knew about the rolling of the bridge hand! Might give that a go next time. Keep them coming Barry.

Hello just wanted to say very good video on screwing or drawing the ball as we say in the states. I'll agree greatly with learning to screw the ball without trying to pot the ball as well. It allows a greater emphasis on the basic technique of stroking through the ball and hitting low and smooth while accelerating through the ball. I use a variation on this as a regular exercise that I picked up from U.S professional pool player Corey Deuel where I work on drawing the ball softly from increasing distance from the object ball. Thanks for all you share I save everyone of the videos I find by you on YouTube they are a great help in my own cue sports journey

All in all chalk is super important. Practiced a ton of time now forgetting chalk without satisfaction. As soon as I chalked the cue ball came back satisfactorily.

Hi Barry, I've just started watching all your videos. Firstly, welll done they are amazing.

I am 66 years old and just picked up my cue again after not playing for 30 odd years. The cue was taylor mage for me by TW Cues when I played a lot back in the 80's.

I have a question regarding the dominant eye. I did the test with the piece of paper with the hole in it, which clearly showed that I am right eye dominant. Which, going by your explanation means I should be cue- ing under or towards my right eye. The thing is, I play left handed, even though I am naturally right handed.

So to cue under my right eye means the butt of the cue and my grip are very close to my body, sometimes bumping, which is affecting the straight line cue-ing action.

Could you tell what I can do to or help in any way please.

Thank you, Steve
