I've known these words for so long but didn't realize just how cool they were until now

I was still having trouble with the concept of 言う after that one lesson, but this one made me realize it instantly becomes much simpler if i define 言う as “say/DESCRIBE” instead of just “say”. Now everything makes much more sense in my head lol

When I started learning Japanese I started with a premade anki deck and a lot of these words were in there. I found them hard to learn but eventually I started noticing the same pattern out of these words, its awesome to see how I was able to make the same connection as others, or I suppose that I was able to make a connection that was "intended" by the language. Also awesome to see how it applies to so much more in the language!

Some of my friends who know I'm learning Japanese ask me to say things, or ask "how do you say this in Japanese?" or even "i heard about this specific Japanese seasonal festival. what's it about?" it's embarrassing to admit so often that i don't know these things. also makes me question how committed i really am if I'm learning so slowly

this is always super interesting to me because we have nearly exact same system in my native language and im surprised that japanese is the only language so far to feel as familiar as it does with it.

što? - ovo, to, ono (what? this, that, that over there)
koji? - ovaj, taj, onaj (which? this, that, that over there)
kakav? - ovakav, takav, onakav (like what?)
kako? - ovako, tako, onako (how? in what manner?)
kolik? - ovolik, tolik, onolik (how big?)
koliko? - ovoliko, toliko, onoliko (how much / many?)
gdje? - ovdje, tu, ondje (where?)
kamo? - ovamo, tamo, onamo (where to?)
kuda? - ovuda, tuda, onuda (which way?)
dokle? - dovle, dotle, dondje (from where?)
kada? - sada, tada, onda (when?)

こんな/そんな/あんな/どんな are actually short versions of 此の様な/其の様な/彼の様な /何の様な, so it's easier to understand.
