Food diary - Everyday!

I’ve learnt SO much from mine that I’ve been keeping for 3 months now.

Another tip I would give, is if you fall off the horse so to speak, get back in the saddle the next day & don’t spend time beating yourself up about it.

I’m here for the long haul this time & am learning to be appreciative of little goals met along the way to my ultimate one.

Alcohol is a hard one as I like a social drink but it lowers my guard and makes me want to eat, so that’s been a learning curve as well and like everything else is a work in progress.

Considering that Alzheimer's was just recategorized as diabetes type 3 due to alcohol link, I think eliminating alcohol is wise for other reasons too!

I gave up alcohol last may. It was a process and at first I refused to accept it contributed to my weight gain. Little by little I reduced my alcohol intake until I realized I should give it up entirely.
