I love that his mom said “Can I give HIM a hug?” Idk I think that proved that she really was trying.

Their parents recorded a lot. Mine have like three photos of me from ages 0-13.

It makes me so happy to see it when parents are there for their kids. It's just a beautiful heartwarming thing

the real story here isn't transition, but a mother's unconditional love for her child no matter what.

as a heterosexual female who identifies with my given name and gender, transitioning, transgender, non binary and all of that is extremely difficult for me to understand. but what i do understand is that love is love and it warmed my heart to see two people with such different beliefs prove that love is more important than our differences. we don't have to always understand each other, just love and respect each other. also, to the incredibly brave person who made this video, im so lucky to be able to hear your story and proud of you for making the choice that was right for you. you are brave and strong and beautiful and wise and compassionate and i appreciate all of that so much

It makes me happy when parents are intelligent enough to be supportive of their children.

I was tearing up just a little bit. I hope that my relationship with my mum will take a similar path when I come out and start my transition. This video was done beautifully.

Thank you for sharing a part of your journey with us. I dont understand non binary but i think thats because i dont identify as it. I dont need to understand something to respect your gender pronouns and respect you as the person you know you are.

As a mom I can’t imagine the emotional roller coaster she’s feeling. As a religious person, I understand where she is coming from. If this was my daughter going through this I would feel heart broken over all of what’s happening; my child not being happy and going through what they’re going through & at the same id feel depress that the human being that I created is not happy, like my body made a mistake in creation. I really hope you & your mom find peace together ❤️

This video is brilliant, and I can relate so much with my parents and I’s experiences. It’s very heartwarming to see how much your happiness matters to her.

I still think that it's just ridiculous that if Branson were to show their chest before surgery, it would be censored because "Ooooh, female nipple", but after surgery, now that the body looks classically male, it's fine. If this was a male to female video, it would be the opposite and the end result would then be censored. So stupid.

Cried the whole time. So strong, so emotional and so relevant. This is needed in today’s society.

As a mother, I love my children no matter what! Who they love, whom ever they choose to be! They are still my babies and will support them through their lives. Simple as that! I'm so glad this person was able to be who they wanted to be. With the blessing of their mother.

Their mom is so strong, I understand from a mothers point of view and I’m really happy for both of them

This is beautiful. It makes me happy that some parents help through the transition

My boyfriends trans and he’s only 14, it’s hard as he still has a female body, so kids and adults can miss gender him a lot, his parents have lovingly started calling him by his preferred name “Toby” but as expected some call him by his birth name, for all you trans/non-binary etc people stay strong and you’ll get through it! No matter how hard it could be! I love you all please stay strong and keep up hope😊💙💖

Very moving and emotional story. I've had so many friends who've come out and were rejected by their parents. It's great that Branson's mom (despite her faith) made the effort to be accepting and loving, even when she didn't fully understand the situation.

I never thought about the parents perspective that their body made a mistake when creating a person. Wow that must be hard to understand
