The Ali and Nino statue is a famous monument located in Batumi, Georgia. It depicts the fictional characters of Ali Khan Shirvanshir, a Muslim Azerbaijani, and Nino Kipiani, a Christian Georgian, from the novel "Ali and Nino" by Kurban Said. The novel tells the story of their love affair and the cultural and political challenges they face in the early 20th century.

The statue was created by the Georgian sculptor Tamara Kvesitadze and was unveiled in 2010. It consists of two moving steel figures, Ali and Nino, who merge and separate several times throughout the day, symbolizing the complex relationship between the two cultures. The figures gradually approach each other, embrace, and then pass through each other, representing the harmony and conflicts that arise in their love story.

The Ali and Nino statue has become a popular tourist attraction and a symbol of Batumi's cultural diversity. Its kinetic design and symbolism make it an intriguing and thought-provoking sculpture.
