How to Change From Integrated Graphics to Dedicated Graphics Card - New Additional Step!

How to switch from integrated gpu to dedicated gpu (graphics card) in Windows 10, after the recent Windows 10 update there is a additional step in switching from integrated to dedicated GPU that you need to preform, thus I made this video explaining how to do it so that you may have maximum performance. This is not a replacement to the more detailed tutorial made before but additional information that may indeed be important for you. If you have any issues watch the tutorial made before below, hope it helps!

Dude thank you! Finally I found someone to explain how to change this. I just wanted to be 100% sure that my laptop was using my dedicated card when playing games and not using the integrated graphics. Now I can do that :) still gonna set it as the default in control panel too though so if it has no opinion like you said, it will use the dedicated card.

So as far as i understood it: My laptop automaticly uses my integrated to save battery / electricity but when playing games or rendering it will switch to my dedicated automaticly. Incase i want to change this i can use this guide. Is this correct?

Yes, but the thing is that it doesn't let me click on the "Preferred graphics processor" and it automatically sets my graphics processor as the integrated one.
When I restore the settings from the global settings tab it lets me to edit all the settings, including the preferred graphics processor, but when I apply them, it just resets the preferred graphics processor as the integrated one. I could manually change it in the past, but because of an update it all got messed up! If someone knows how to fix this, then let me know!!

hi, i have a integrated amd r5 graphics and a discrete amd r7 m260, how do i switch to discrete amd r7? i downloaded radeon software but there is not switch option, i searched all the internet... the discrete is switchable, that's all i saw in radeon software

May I ask you how I can make Windows/Desktop run on Integrated GPU(I5 8400) while other apps/games run on dedicated GPU(1060 6GB)?

i still get 100% gpu 0 usage (integrated) and like 2% gpu1 (nvidia rtx3000) usage :/
